PORTAGE (WKZO AM/FM) — Portage residents may have to change their beach plans for the next two days if they like to take a dip at the Ramona Park Beach.
Crews will administer a weed killer to Long Lake today to kill off some of the invasive plants which have been clogging the lake, and slowly turning it back into a swamp.
While the chemical isn’t that harmful to humans, they have decided to close the beach Wednesday and Thursday as a precaution.
The beach will be open again at 10:30 Friday morning.
