COMSTOCK (WKZO-AM/FM) — Funeral services for Comstock Fire Chief Ed Switalski have been scheduled.
Switalski was killed by a wayward driver who lost control and struck him as he stood along Interstate 94 last Wednesday night. He was responding to a report of a car wreck.
A public visitation will be held at the Langeland Family Funeral home in Oshtemo from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday.
A procession of emergency vehicles is planned for Wednesday to carry the coffin from the funeral home to the Wings Event Center. They will pass by all three of Comstock’s fire houses along the way.
Residents are being encouraged to stand along the route late morning.
The funeral service at Wings will begin at noon.
