KALAMAZOO (WKZO-AM/FM) — Resurfacing work on roughly four miles of M-96 between Augusta and Galesburg is slated to start Monday. The two-month project carries a $415,000 price tag.
Michigan Department of Transportation spokesperson Nick Schirripa said drivers can expect single-lane closures and brief delays.
“That’ll be under flag control, so you’ll be stopping at that one guy with a stop sign,” Schirripa said. “They’ll be repaving in short segments that whole four-mile stretch.”
Crews will also be repairing the shoulders of the highway and replacing guardrails.
