(Reuters) -Apollo Global Management, KKR & Co and Stonepeak may invest billions in a joint venture to help fund Intel’s semiconductor fabrication facility in Ireland, Bloomberg News reported on Friday.
The chipmaker, Apollo, KKR and Stonepeak did not immediately respond to Reuters requests for comment.
The alternative asset managers may potentially invest in a joint venture that could raise several billion dollars, including debt, the report said, citing people familiar with the matter.
Media reports from February stated that Intel, which is working with advisors, had begun soliciting interest from potential investors.
