SISTER LAKES (WKZO-AM/FM) — Sheriff’s detectives in Van Buren County are looking for a man who snatched a purse from a customer at the Sister Lakes Marathon on M-152.
It happened around 10 p.m. Sunday.
Multiple witnesses claim the crime happened after the victim finished pumping gas and entered the convenience store. The man jumped in an SUV or minivan on parked on the opposite side of the victim’s pump and fled in an unknown direction after grabbing the purse, surveillance footage indicates.
The suspect is between 30 and 35 years old. He was wearing an orange baseball cap and a black shirt at the time of the incident.
