BATTLE CREEK, MI (WNWN/WTVB) – Battle Creek Police say a Battle Creek Central High School student is in custody following an alleged shooting threat made against the school on Wednesday night.
Police responded to reports of the threat around 7:00 p.m..
According to a tip received by the school’s principal, and others received through Silent Observer, a high school student had threatened to bring a handgun and a rifle to the school and shoot students.
Police took the student into custody. The student was lodged at a local juvenile detention facility over the reported threat.
The BCPD is still actively investigating this incident.
