BATTLE CREEK (WKZO-AM/FM) — The Battle Creek Field of Flight Air Show and Balloon Festival will last six days this year. It begins Thursday night.
They will ease into the festival activities with “Community Night.” Festival spokesperson Bret Bailey said it’s free to get in and there will be no charge for parking.
They plan a motorcycle thrill show, a concert and discounts at some of the vending stands.
He said the carnival midway will also be operating.
Gates open at 5 p.m. If the weather permits, there will be a balloon launch at 7 p.m. The event will build with more activities culminating in air shows Sunday, Monday and on July 4.
It will end with a bang with the big fireworks show late on Independence Day.
