KALAMAZOO (WKZO-AM/FM) — Two Kalamazoo teenagers are in the Kalamazoo County Jail after Kalamazoo Public Safety says they robbed a delivery driver of his pizzas and cash late Saturday in the 900 block of Egleston Avenue in the Edison Neighborhood.
A police dog followed the scent to a home in the 1400 block of Race Street, where they believed the two suspects were hiding.
A brief standoff began until the two suspects, 18 and 19, saw Kalamazoo Metro SWAT arrive. They later surrendered.
The gun used in the robbery was recovered and a serial number check revealed it had been stolen. Both teenagers are being held for armed robbery, receiving stolen property and several gun felonies.
