KALAMAZOO (WKZO-AM/FM) — A wanted fugitive from South Haven led Michigan State Police on a chase across the north side of Kalamazoo late Monday night until it was abruptly ended by a collision.
Lt. Dale Hinz said it began with a traffic violation on Gull Road near Sprinkle Road and ended when the suspect crashed into a passenger car after running the red light at North and Park Street.
The injuries, apparently, were not life-threatening.
The suspect and the three people in the other vehicle were all transported to Bronson Methodist Hospital for treatment.
Hinz said the 27-year-old from South Haven was wanted on multiple warrants, had a suspended driver’s license, open intoxicants and marijuana at the time of the crash.
He was treated and then booked into the Kalamazoo County Jail.
