PAW PAW, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – A search warrant executed in Hartford by Southwest Enforcement Team (SWET) West detectives led to an arrest, and pointed to another situation in Watervliet that resulted in a second arrest.
SWET members acted on a search warrant in the 100 block of Mary Street in the city of Hartford and discovered delivery amounts of cocaine, meth, fentanyl, and crack cocaine.
The search also turned up evidence of illegal drug sales, and an illegal firearm.
Authorities arrested a 36-year-old Hartford man on several felony charges, and upon further investigation, discovered evidence pointing to a residence in the city of Watervliet.
A second search warrant was executed there, and it turned up more illegal drugs, evidence of illegal sales, and another firearm.
A 35-year-old female was taken into custody at that location; she faces numerous felony charges as well.
SWET was assisted by uniform troopers from Michigan State Police Niles and Paw Paw posts at both locations.
SWET is comprised of sworn law enforcement officers from the Allegan County Sheriff’s Office, Berrien County Sheriff’s Office, Benton Harbor Department of Public Safety, Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office, Kalamazoo Township Police Department, Michigan State Police, Portage Department of Public Safety and Saint Joseph County Sheriff’s Office.
