KALAMAZOO (WKZO-AM/FM) — A Kalamazoo woman has been bound over to stand trial for the stabbing death of her father’s girlfriend.
Aiesha Walker, 23, was just two years older than her boyfriend’s daughter, Olivia Berry, 20.
Judge Richard Santoni heard testimony that Berry threatened to kill Walker during an argument at her father’s townhouse at Interfaith Homes early on the morning of May 29, then did exactly that, stabbing Walker over a dozen times.
She is charged with open murder, which leaves the prosecutor the option to ask the jury to find her guilty of first degree premeditated murder at trial.
No trial date has been set.
Berry will remain held without bond at the Kalamazoo County Jail until then.
