HASTINGS MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Barry County authorities are continuing their investigation into a one vehicle accident Monday that killed one person.
Deputies were summoned to Devine Rd near Thornapple Lake Rd in Castleton Township at around 10:38 am, and discovered a vehicle had left NB Devine Rd and rolled after colliding with an embankment.
The driver of the Chevrolet Aveo, a 32 year old Vermontville man, had been thrown from the vehicle, and was discovered a short distance away.
Despite life-saving measures, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Barry County Sheriff’s Department was assisted at the scene by the Nashville Fire Department, Nashville EMS, and the Michigan State Police.
