BATTLE CREEK (WKZO-AM/FM) — A minivan had to be lifted off the body of a 59-year-old bicyclist after he collided with a vehicle at South Washington Avenue and West Dickman Road in Battle Creek.
It happened around 1:15 p.m. Thursday.
Once he was freed, he was loaded into an ambulance and taken to a Kalamazoo hospital for emergency treatment.
The cyclist reportedly suffered serious injuries but his name and current condition have not been released. The 64-year-old driver reportedly dragged the cyclist for a few feet before stopping.
It remains under investigation.
