PENNFIELD, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – A 33-year-old Battle Creek man had been arrested after assaulting a female inside the Huntington Bank branch in Pennfield in what police say was a domestic violence incident
At approximately 2:35 p.m. Wednesday Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office deputies with the Pennfield Division were dispatched to the bank on NE Capital Avenue for a reported assault. They say employees called 911 when a male began assaulting a female inside.
When they arrived, deputies found an off-duty Calhoun County Sheriff’s OfDeputdeputy physically restraining the suspect. Responding deputies took him into custody and the female victim was treated for her injuries sustained during the incident.
The male sustained injuries as well and was transported to the hospital for treatment.
The Sheriff’s Office says charges will be sought on the male for domestic assault.
