COMSTOCK TOWNSHIP (WKZO-AM/FM) — Authorities say a suspicious “satchel-type package” found attached to a fire hydrant late Monday morning in Comstock Township wasn’t an explosive and wasn’t dangerous.
A Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s bomb technician responded to the 8600 block of East ML Avenue around 10 a.m. after a concerned citizen contacted dispatchers, according to a press release from the Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s Office.
Sheriff’s deputies say they’ll attempt to contact the owner to return the item.
