PORTAGE, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Four fire departments battled a blaze Sunday morning that damaged a home in Portage.
The Portage Department of Public Safety was dispatched to 605 West Van Hoesen at 6:05 a.m. for a possible structure fire. The first arriving units reported heavy fire involvement on the first floor.
The fire was under control within thirty minutes of arrival.
The Oshtemo Fire Department, Texas Fire Department, Comstock Fire Department, and Life EMS assisted on the scene.
The fire is under investigation but Portage officials say it does not appear to be suspicious in nature.
No injuries were reported.
