PORTAGE, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – One of Portage’s busiest streets may experience even more traffic back-ups next Tuesday.
City officials say February 27 the southbound curb lane of South Westnedge Avenue at JL Hudson Drive will be closed to facilitate the replacement of a Consumers Energy utility pole on the southwest corner of the intersection.
The traffic signal at the intersection will be operating on backup power during the repair. The pole replacement is expected to be completed by the end of the day Tuesday.
