LANSING, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Former Congressman Fred Upton is continuing to be involved with the No Labels movement as they seek to find a Republican presidential candidate and a Democratic vice presidential candidate.
He told Michael Patrick Shiels and Michigan’s Big Show they are doing it to save voters from having to choose again between President Biden and former President Trump.
He says they do not yet have a candidate to announce.
Upton believes that will come after Super Tuesday.
He says Senator Joe Manchin is not being considered, and neither is Republican candidate Nikki Haley because she is on the GOP ballot and there are states that won’t let someone switch parties in an election.
Upton also says he is not a candidate.
