BATTLE CREEK (WKZO AM/FM) — Battle Creek Police defused a dangerous domestic situation in the first block of Eagle Street after they received a 9-1-1 call about a gunshot fired inside a home just after 2:00 Saturday morning.
Officers investigating the call determined it began as an argument between a married couple that included gun play.
Officers observed the damage caused by the single round and took a 41-year old Battle Creek man into custody on an attempted murder charge and several other gun related counts.
Officers say there were children in the home at the time.
