LANSING, MI — The Lansing Community College Board of Trustees is set to begin the selection process to fill two trustee positions recently vacated by Andrew Abood and Ryan Buck. The deadline to apply was Jan. 16, 2024.
Requirements for the appointment include being 18 years of age or older, a resident of one of the LCC school districts and a registered voter. The LCC district encompasses the school districts of Bath, Dansville, DeWitt, East Lansing, Grand Ledge, Haslett, Holt/Dimondale, Lansing, Leslie, Mason, Okemos, Stockbridge, Waverly, Webberville and Williamston.
The persons appointed to these unpaid positions will hold office until Dec. 31, 2024. The election to fill the remaining two years of Andrew Abood’s position and the remaining four years of Ryan Buck’s position will be held at the next general election in November 2024.
A special meeting of the Board of Trustees is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. (EST) Monday, Jan. 29, 2024, to interview candidates and make a final decision on the vacancies.
