GRAND RAPIDS, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Former Congressman Justin Amash of Grand Rapids is weighing a run for Michigan’s soon to be vacated U.S. Senate seat.
Amash was the first Libertarian party member to serve in Congress after being elected as a Republican in 2010. He switched to the Libertarian Party in 2020 after becoming an independent representative over his clashes with GOP leaders and former President Trump.
The U.S. Senate seat is open due to the upcoming retirement of Senator Debbie Stabenow.
