KALAMAZOO TOWNSHIP (WKZO-AM/FM) — Detectives are requesting the public’s help to identify an armed robbery suspect who forced his way into an apartment in the 300 block of South Kendall Avenue on Thursday and robbed the tenants of money and other items at gunpoint.
According to police, a robber knocked on their door at 12:30 p.m. When one of the three males living there answered, he threatened him with a gun and walked in, made the men tie themselves up with electrical cords, took what he wanted and left.
There were no injuries. The suspect was described as a 5-foot-9, 135 pound man in his mid-20s. He was last seen wearing a blue jacket, dark colored pants and blue tennis shoes.
They were also looking for a male with a beard who was a person of interest in the case. He has since been located and cleared by detectives.
