UNDATED (WKZO AM/FM) — Red Cross officials in Michigan are gearing up, just in case they are dispatched to Texas to help with recovery operations from Hurricane Harvey.
Forecasters say it could make landfall as a category three hurricane, and dump as much as 20 to 30 inches of rain before it moves on.
Two volunteers from Michigan are already in Texas, running shelters for evacuees and getting more shelters ready.
Three more Red Cross volunteers will leave for Texas Friday and many more are on standby, if needed.
