KALAMAZOO TOWNSHIP (WKZO-AM/FM) — Kalamazoo Township trustees were encouraged last night by a private Greenhouse operator to keep an open mind when it comes to allowing medical marijuana to be grown in the township.
Kari Panse with Panse Greenhouses said it could just save their industry, which she says has seen hard times and declining margins.
Panse said, if they are given the opportunity, it could make all the difference. She also said it will also save local jobs and tax base.
The state will let local officials decide what medical marijuana operations to allow in their jurisdictions and how they are chosen. Kalamazoo Township has not yet made those decisions.
