KALAMAZOO TOWNSHIP, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Two men are in custody after a shooting incident Christmas Eve in Kalamazoo Township.
At approximately 6:30 p.m. Sunday, officers from the Township of Kalamazoo Police Department were dispatched to the 3300 block of West Main Street on the report of a subject that had been threatened with a gun. Upon arriving, officers located the suspects in a parked vehicle. The suspects ignored officer’s instructions and ran from the vehicle.
With the assistance of the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety K9 and drone operator both suspects were located. In addition, a pistol was located in the suspect’s vehicle.
The suspects, an 18-year-old male and a 22-year-old male, were both lodged at the Kalamazoo County Jail and face charges for resisting officers and weapons offenses.
