KALAMAZOO (WKZO AM/FM) — La Shon Diallo says she thinks she is going to be okay, and while she still faces challenges, the Metro Transit Bus Driver who lost a leg but survived a horrendous wreck has completed a 7-week stay at Mary Free Bed rehabilitation , learning how to walk with a prosthetic leg, and will continue therapy as an outpatient.
Anyone who has seen the video would have to agree that it’s a miracle she was not killed in May when a Pontiac going about 100 miles per hour tore into the front of the city bus.
In a video produced by Mary Free Bed she talks about her progress and what rehab was like.
Warrants have been issued charging the driver who struck her with four felony counts, but he remains hospitalized.
