BATTLE CREEK (WKZO-AM/FM) — Police say a Battle Creek man, who was wanted on several warrants, was taken to jail after a failed traffic stop early Sunday near Capital and Battle Creek avenues.
The suspect hit the gas and led officers on a short chase through neighborhoods on the south side, police said.
Soon after, he abandoned the vehicle and fled on foot, but was chased down and arrested.
Now, prosecutors plan to add a count of fleeing and eluding to his other charges.
