KALAMAZOO (WKZO-AM/FM) — Kalamazoo’s annual 9/11 memorial event is set for Monday at Bronson Park.
It has become a tradition in Kalamazoo.
“We’ve had, since 2008, the opportunity to honor the nearly 3,000 people that lost their lives that day,” Kalamazoo County Sheriff Richard Fuller.
He said his deputies and other law enforcement agencies will be in attendance.
“We’ll be out there with all the honor guards, we’ll be out there with some special music, and hopefully people can come out to Bronson Park,” Fuller said.
The ceremony is scheduled to run for about an hour.
The event is slated to start at 5:30 p.m.
It will be moved to the First United Methodist Church if the weather is poor.
