KEELER TOWNSHIP, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — The Van Buren County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a deadly UTV crash in Keeler Township near Hartford Thursday night.
Deputies say it happened around 11 p.m. and the victim was found in a field about a quarter mile from the road.
The UTV driver was pronounced dead at the scene on 84th Avenue and County Road 687.
The victim was with a relative and was deer hunting when they took the UTV for a drive in the field and lost control.
The passenger was not hurt, but the driver was partly ejected and was found stuck under the vehicle.
Deputies say they believe alcohol was a factor.
