PORTAGE, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — The city of Portage will be focusing on vacant lots near their new Senior Center for a new Farmers Market, after eliminating all the other possible options.
City Manager Pat McGinnis says the last alternative site, city owned property near Lovers Lane & Romence isn’t suitable.
He says they will now be hiring an architectural firm to draw up some alternative designs for their primary site, which already has parking facilities and some other amenities available.
McGinnis says the site near the Zhang Senior Center gives them a number of options and alternatives that need to be sorted through as well.
