KALAMAZOO (WKZO AM/FM) — Christopher Lockhart, the husband of missing teacher Theresa Lockhart, has entered guilty pleas to two felonies.
He admitted to removing his alcohol tether and for sabotaging a neighbor’s cable-TV and air conditioner. In exchange for the plea, other charges were dropped.
All of this occurred during a three week period and involved a series of arrests.
Judge Gary Giguere gave him a deferred sentence, if he can keep his nose clean under the supervision of the Office for Community Corrections for 12 weeks, he can avoid jail, and will just get probation on December 4th. He could have gotten up to two years on each count.
His wife disappeared in May, and he has been identified as a person of interest in the investigation which seems to have stalled.
Lockhart still faces a hearing for refusing to take a breathalyzer during one of his stops.
