BATTLE CREEK (WKZO AM/FM) — The latest in what may be a series of suspicious fires in the Battle Creek area is being blamed for causing $5,000 damage to the exterior of a home at 182 Fountain Street Friday night just before 10 pm.
It’s suspicious because homes do not usually burst into flames for no reason.
It’s been assigned to the Fire Marshal to investigate.
There was another fire in Battle Creek earlier that day that also remains under investigation. That fire began at 7:14 am at 138 Surby.
This one began in a second story bedroom and caused over $32,000 damage to the two story home.
There was no one home at the time and no one was injured.
