BATTLE CREEK (WKZO AM/FM) — The William Wolter rape case has been declared a mistrial after the jury declared itself deadlocked yesterday afternoon.
Wolter was charged with multiple counts of first degree criminal sexual conduct after allegations that he used drugs and alcohol to get two young girls to perform sex acts on him, at his rural Homer property.
But the two victims proved to be poor witnesses and Wolter denied everything on the stand.
The Prosecutor says he plans to retry the case but no date has been set.
