KALAMAZOO (WKZO AM/FM) — A new tutoring center has been dedicated at the Hayworth College of Business at WMU in honor of former Integrated Supply Management Student Dallas Rauker, who died during a hiking trip to Norway while he was studying abroad two years ago.
His parents Renae and Fred Rauker of Lawton contributed money collected by a fundraiser to have the facility named for their son, who was a skydiver, snow and skateboarder and thrill seeker who was just months from graduation.
“Dallas was a shining example of the type of student the ISM program is known for,” says Dr. Bret Wagner, associate professor of management and Rauker’s faculty advisor. “He was down to earth with a strong work ethic and was known to help his fellow students with their studies.
The tutoring center is a fitting tribute to a promising life cut short.”‘Rauker was 21.
