BATTLE CREEK, MI (WNWN/WTVB) – The City of Battle Creek has announced that contractor crews have begun milling the asphalt along a section of Beckley Road, as part of the ongoing Beckley Road water main installation project.
Beckley Road between Helmer Road South and Minges Road South will be undergoing milling work. It is currently closed to thru traffic, due to the water main project:
The following recommended detour route is still in place, due to the closure of this section of Beckley Road to thru traffic:
Eastbound Beckley Road traffic: Turn left on Helmer Road South, turn right on Columbia Avenue, turn right on Riverside Drive, and then turn left to resume eastbound on Beckley Road
Westbound Beckley Road traffic: Turn right on Riverside Drive, turn left on Columbia Avenue, turn left on Helmer Road South, and then turn right to resume westbound on Beckley Road.
No thru traffic will be allowed along this section of Beckley Road, except for residents living along this stretch of roadway for access to and from their homes.
Those living in this area are encouraged to drive along Beckley Road as little as possible to reach their homes.
