PAW PAW TOWNSHIP (WKZO AM/FM) — State Police aren’t calling it a hit and run, but they would like to talk to the driver of a tan colored sedan who may have witnessed the fatal crash of a motorcyclist on Red Arrow Highway in Van Buren County.
76-year-old Richard Setty of Kalamazoo was westbound on the highway near Territorial Road when he lost control of his motorcycle for some reason.
Deputies say he was ejected from the bike, transported to Bronson Methodist in Kalamazoo where he died from the injuries he suffered in the crash.
Witnesses report the tan sedan immediately behind the biker prior to the crash, which was seen leaving the scene westbound immediately after the crash.
It’s a four door with rust on the lower door on the passenger-side. They are investigating to determine if the car played a role in the crash.
Any witnesses to the crash are asked to call the MSP Paw Paw Post at: (269) 657-5551 or MSP Dispatch at: (866) 411-0018.
