KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Voters in Kalamazoo County will be asked on November 7th to approve a millage to raise money for veterans services.
The millage would replace federal ARPA money that is expiring at the end of this year and would cost the owner of a $200,000 home just $10 a year in taxes.
The county provides around $300,000 a year for the Veterans Services Office, but that money was used up this year by March 6th and the federal dollars funded everything after that. The millage will raise around a million-dollars a year.
