COMSTOCK TOWNSHIP (WKZO AM/FM) – Kalamazoo County Deputies are looking for an armed robber who tried to hold up Storey’s Market on North Avenue in Comstock Township just before 9 Saturday night and struck out.
The would-be robber walked into the store, pointed a pistol and demanded that the clerk lay on the floor.
Instead the clerk bolted for the rear of the store and the robber, unable to open the cash register, fled empty-handed. The clerk told deputies that the robber jumped on a bike and pedaled eastbound.
The gunman was a white male, with a thin build wearing a camouflage hoodie, with light grey sweatpants and something covering his face.
KCSO is asking that anyone who may have information in reference to this incident or subject to contact KCSO or Silent Observer.
