KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – With much of the Kalamazoo receiving at least two and a half inches of rainfall Thursday, with some areas measuring more than three inches, city officials say a number of streets have been closed due to flooding
Those streets are: Howard Street at Crosstown,Vine Street from Crosstown to Dutton, Dutton Street from Jasper to Portage, Crosstown Street from Sheldon to Mills, and Sheldon Street from Crosstown to Vine
As of mid-afternoon, city staff were continuing to monitor the conditions and they expect flooding to subside later this afternoon.
Public Services Director James Baker says barricades are in place and motorists should never drive around barricades or into flooded areas.
