DEARBORN (WKZO AM/FM) — AAA of Michigan reports that gas prices have dropped 11-cents on average in the last week but still remain higher than we have seen heading in to the last three Thanksgiving holidays.
The average price in the state is now $2.63/gallon, which is 51-cents higher than it was at this time last year. AAA spokesperson Susan Hiltz says it doesn’t appear to be discouraging anyone from traveling over thanksgiving, they project it will be the highest in a decade.
National Petroleum Pollster Trilby Lundberg says the national Average stands at $2.61/gallon, up three cents in the last two weeks.
AAA says the Midwest is currently posting some of the lowest inventories of gas registered since the fall of 2014.
