LANSING, MI — A Wisconsin Dells man is the latest to be charged in the plot to kidnap and possibly kill Michigan’s governor.
Michigan’s attorney general yesterday charged 51-year-old Brian Higgins with material support of an act of terrorism. The A-G says Higgins allowed members of the Wolverine Watchmen to use his night vision goggles to do surveillance on Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer’s cottage, and that he used his dash camera mounted on his car to do some recon work himself.
Higgins faces 20 years in prison on the charges. He is the 14th person to be charged in the plot to snatch Whitmer.
