(Reuters) – Philip Jefferson on Wednesday took the oath of office as the Federal Reserve Board’s new vice chair, the U.S. central bank said.
Also sworn in on Wednesday, the Fed said, were Fed Governor Lisa Cook to a new 14-year term and Adriana Kugler as the Fed’s newest Board member.
The actions, following Senate confirmations of the three last week, mean the Fed Board’s full seven-member slate is in place ahead of the U.S. central bank’s next policy-setting meeting on Tuesday and Wednesday of next week.
