KALAMAZOO (WKZO AM/FM) — Immigration activists from Kalamazoo were involved in a brief disruption of the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade on Thursday.
Organizers from all over the nation joined with members of the Seed Project from this area, trying to send a message about the Trump Administration’s decision to roll back the DACA program next spring. They staged a brief sit in the middle of the parade route.
They got in the way of a marching band.
New York Police who were out in force following the bike tragedy a few weeks ago, quickly moved in and removed the protestors and the parade continued.
