LEROY TOWNSHIP, MI (WNWN/WTVB) – Michigan State Police continue to investigate a fatal two vehicle crash in Calhoun County.
Troopers say it involved a semi-truck and a pickup truck at M-66 and H Drive South.
It was determined that the driver of the pickup truck had pulled in front of the semi, head on, causing the collision.
The driver of the pickup, 93-year-old Marion West, was transported by Life Care ambulance to Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo in critical condition.
West died as a result of his injuries shortly after arriving at the hospital.
Troopers were assisted at the scene by Calhoun County Deputies.
