KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Kalamazoo Public Safety officers say a crash in the city’s Vine Neighborhood caused power lines to fall onto the roadway early Thursday morning.
First responders were called to a two vehicle crash in the 1200 block of South Park Street near Forest Street around 1 a.m. Thursday.
The incident damaged a utility pole and caused energized power line to fall. Consumers Energy was called to the scene and helped clear the lines and repair the pole.
KDPS says there were minor injuries as a result of the crash but no other details have been released at this time.
All lanes of South Park Street were closed from West Crosstown Parkway to Wall Street for about four hours as crews cleaned up the crash site. The road has since reopened.
