BARAGA COUNTY, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Tuesday, WOOD TV reported that a Battle Creek man has died after being shot with a crossbow.
According to WOOD TV, the Baraga County Sheriff’s Office began their investigation of the incident when it occurred on October 6. Battle Creek resident Ross Leo Fruin was reportedly shot by a man from Dowling with the crossbow.
He later died from his injuries after he was transported to UP Health Systems Marquette.
The Dowling man was reported as being cited for careless, reckless, negligent use of a bow and arrow causing injury or death.
Details on what led up to the incident were not immediately made available. The case remains under investigation at this time.
