DETROIT (WKZO) — GM is starting the New Year with a recall.
They say 83-thousand SUVs and trucks may have a faulty ignition switch.
The Detroit automaker says the problem may cause the ignition to move out of the “start” position, causing the vehicle to stall and simultaneously disabling the airbags.
The recall includes 2011-12 Chevrolet Silverados, Suburbans and Tahoe models along with Cadillac Escalades.
Owners of Avalanche GMC Sierra LD and Yukon models are also being notified of the latest recall.
