WAVERLY TOWNSHIP (WKZO) — Two teens from the Paw Paw area are in trouble after Deputies say they broke into the Glendale Grocery Store in Van Buren County early Saturday morning.
The burglary took place just after 2 Saturday morning at the store on M-43 in WaverlyTownship.
The teens were caught on store security cameras and the store owner recognized them because the older boy, a 17-year-old had been caught earlier in the evening trying to shop-lift alcohol from the store.
He had a 13-year-old boy with him at the time, and the store owner says it was those two boys who returned later and broke into the store. It’s not clear from the video if they took anything.
Deputies went to the home of the two boys and arrested the older one, who was already on probation. The new charges include attempted B&E, Possession of Burglary Tools, and Retail Fraud.
The tools were found at that address.
He was lodged in the CountyJail.
The younger boy was handed over to his parents.
A file of the arrest will be submitted to Juvenile Court Authorities for possible charges.
