WASHINGTON D.C. (WKZO) — Gary Peters is the only member of the freshman class of Senators to be sworn-in this session who is a Democrat.
He is coming in just as the Democrats are losing their majority and that’s why he talked a lot about bi-partisan cooperation during a teleconference with reporters.
If he has any hopes at all of getting any thing done it will have to take bipartisan cooperation to accomplish.
Peters should be used to working from the minority, that’s where he spent most of his years in the U.S. House.
