KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – An American Airlines flight on it’s way to New York’s LaGuardia Airport made an emergency landing in Kalamazoo Saturday morning, July 22.
According to Kalamazoo-Battle Creek International Airport Director Craig Williams, the 737 plane experienced a fuel leak mid-flight from Chicago was forced to land at the airport around 8:20 a.m.
Passengers were deplaned shortly after landing and there were no reported injuries.
Another plane from Tulsa OK eventually made it to Kalamazoo-Battle Creek International Airport and got the New York City bound passengers to LaGuardia Airport by 7 p.m. Saturday.
